Emergency Data Recovery

The single-most important thing in any computer is the data. Supprising Few things are more frightening then when data is lost. Never assume that data is unrecoverable. We have successfully recovered data from storage devices that have been fire damaged, water damaged, and physically damaged. Even if your storage device is not damaged and you have accidentally and permanently deleted your data we may be able to recover it. Regardless of the storage device, OpenDL has the capabilities to recover lost data from a variety of storage media including PC and laptop hard drives, server hard drives, floppy disks, CD, DVD, and external USB or FireWire hard drives.

Below are 3 tips to ensure the most successful recovery of your data:

  • Do not attempt to recover the data yourself. By turning the computer on or off you will further damage the drive. In addition, using tools that attempt to recovery the data on severely damaged drives can lead to permanent data loss.
  • If you lose or delete data off your hard drive accidentally, turn the computer off as soon as possible. DO NOT perform a shutdown, but instead, pull the power cord to prevent the computer from writing any unnecessary data over your lost data sectors.
  • If your hard drive or computer crashes and it cannot be booted back into Windows, pull the power cord immediately. The longer the computer is on the more it will try to access the hard drive thus decreasing any chance to recover the data.
